How to Choose a Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeon
There are “robotic” systems, and “computer assisted navigation systems” that use the term robotic rather loosely. If the answer is not ROSA, MAKO, NAVIO or CORI, the system is not a true “robotic” device. Ask the surgeon you are interviewing more about this differentiation.
Hint: A robotic device uses artificial intelligence built into the system and a GPS-type navigation to let the surgeon know where the surgical tool on the handpiece is relative to space and your unique anatomy.
