The Robotic Orthopaedic Institute is the first and only Institute of its kind, located in Southern Utah. 

Utah law requires that the word “Institute” must be registered and specifically approved by the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code and the Division of Consumer Protection prior to  formation and use. The authorization to use the word “Institute” was granted in June, 2021, on the basis of the activities in which we engage, namely:

• Direct patient care in robotic-assisted joint replacement and revisions of previous joint replacements
• Direct patient care for general musculoskeletal orthopaedic problems and fracture care
• Non-surgical management of strains, sprains and dislocations
• Treatment of professional and non-professional athletic sport performance injuries
• Specialized care and treatment for performing artist injuries (musicians, dancers, actors, etc.)
• Formalized patient-reported outcomes research and implementation of specialized software programs
• The adoption and investigation of FDA-approved, leading-edge, robotic technologies in orthopaedic surgery
• The use of multi-modal, low-opioid, pain control 
• Responsibility for Principal Investigator role in Clinical Research Trials for novel orthopaedic care management 
• Conducting education and professional development training for other clinicians.
